Linnea D (Upper Sixth) recently received her King's Scout Award and was subsequently invited to the National Day of Celebration and Achievement at Windsor Castle. The King’s Scout Award is the top achievement for Explorer Scouts and Network and is awarded to around 400 individuals each year.
The award holders and their invited guests joined the Chief Scout and other dignitaries to recognise their achievements in a parade around the Windsor Castle Quadrangle followed by a service in St George's Chapel. Linnea was the only scout from her District to achieve the award and was one of only six Explorer Scouts/Scout network representing Hereford and Worcestershire. While on parade, she met and spoke to both Dwayne Fields (Chief Scout) and Tim Peake (Astronaut and one of the Scout Ambassadors).
